Grandparents and Great-Grandparents,

Here's your chance to spend quality one-on-one time with a grandchild between the ages of 8 and 18. Explore your noetic knowing and your grandchild's inner way, as you strengthen deep, soul-ful connections with each other.

Bring your passions, life-purpose, talents, ideas and needs to pave life-pathways with your next generation. Dance, movement, and creative expression develop your senses as InterPlay experts and other great leaders weave their magic to create a complete body+mind+soul family exploration of unveiled potential.

In the spirit of play, and grounded in freedom of expression, wisdom and love, come discover why you are in the same family, what you are being called to do together, and how you can support and develop each other's creativity and potential.

FACILITATORS:
Facilitators of this retreat include Cathy Coleman, Ph.D., Linda Lee Ratto, Ed.M, Nancy Lee Ways, and last year's IONS -SNS Youth Retreat leaders-learners. There are also two co-facilitators for this special event who are a grandmother and granddaughter, Lynda and Anabel.

Lynda Ellis and her granddaughter, Anabel, traveled to the last two IONS conferences together and were enriched by their shared experiences in the main conference and the parallel youth conference. These kindred souls are very excited about being co-facilitators for this special weekend, the first annual IONS/SNS grandparenting celebration weekend.

A grandmother's viewpoint:

1996 was a year of monumental changes in my life. A flood destroyed all my property, I left behind a 25 year career on the east coast and moved to Marin County and I was taken under the wings of Lynne Twist and John Levy who introduced me to the IONS community.

Up until this time I was focused on 2 things -- making money and accumulating assets. My family took a distant 2nd place. Losing everything
I had worked so hard to gain, freed me to seek a different way of living where less things created an opening to explore a world I never knew existed. My granddaughter, Anabel, was 3 years old at the time. She doesn’t remember any of this; however, the impression of my new way of life has magically shaped hers. Having Anabel join me at the IONS conference in VA and again in Palm Springs has created a bond that goes far deeper than grandmother/ granddaughter. We have become kindred spirits. — Lynda Ellis

A granddaughter's perspective:

My grandmother is like no one else in my family. We watch Ghandi, Whale Rider and Spiritual Cinema movies. We share our thoughts, hopes and dreams. She gets me! Traveling with her to the past two IONS conferences has introduced me to people like her. The teen group was brought into the conference as a part of it. We actually participated in ways that made a difference. We were heard and acknowledged.

I hope all my friends from the past two conferences will invite a grandparent to join my grandmother and me for this first annual IONS/SNS event at the Petaluma campus. — Anabel E.
