There's nothing special about me, other than the fact that we're all special. :-) I'm just a middle-aged American woman trying to make her way to a more balanced way of living in a world that is drowning in materialism. I wax and wane with that effort. There have been times in my life when I have made great strides and times in my life when I feel as if I've fallen back into the rut. In the last 9 months I have been voluntarily unemployed; am lucky enough to have a husband who supports this 110% and we are both benefiting from it tremendously. We have started a spiritual practice together, finding the common ground in our two different approaches to Spirit, and we're very happy and invigorated by the tremendous value this has for our lives! I wish the world could realize that diversity is the key to peace and harmony and happiness. We are reaffirming what we already "knew": that humankind has two minds, the physical and the spiritual, and that larger society encourages us to build the physical mind and ignore the spiritual mind. We are trying in our own little way to remember this daily and to share with everyone, without being intrusive about it, as the opportunities arise. Already we're seeing ways we've had an impact on others and we hope that everyone will pass a little of it forward, for the good of all, hopefully.

I was born in the southern USA of parents who took me to a Baptist church. In sum, I always *knew* that "God" was not in this church life, and felt "God" in nature. For me, my "church" was outdoors and "God" was most definitely in all of the life around me! As the years went by I became able to articulate this and learn not to fear being struck dead by lightening to say out loud to others what I believed.

I was born with some natural psi ability, including but not limited to a rich and remarkable dream life where I have been able to "see" things that others have not shared with me. Just for myself, *I* don't feel a need for science to validate psi. Once you have been to the mountain, you don't need a skeptical third party to confirm if the mountain is there for *them*, or not!

The older I get, the more I see the paradox of how far I have come, and how much I have yet to learn! I feel like I have so much more to learn than to give right now, and am drawn to the Earth religions and native traditions much more than the major religious movements as my path to Spirit. I learned of the IONS years ago and am just now getting back to it again. Reading the posts here, I feel like I have found a kind of “home.” THANK YOU to everyone who is here, for your hearts and minds and actions to bring humanity full circle to our lost birthright of wholeness: as spiritual beings in physical forms.
