Scholarship Program Support

The Event Scholarship Program is designed to enable college students to participate at IONS events at an affordable student rate. This is a member funded program and was developed in response to an overall decision to more fully engage youth in our programs.

SUPPORT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS!

The member interest in supporting such programs came most recently from a request by IONS Circle Member, Richard Meyer, to underwrite 10 college students at the April 22, 2006 IONS Conference: Global Consciousness: The Missing Piece of the Sustainability Puzzle.

Our goal is to generate at least $10,000 for the year 2006. Richard Meyer has generously offered to match funds donated up to $5,000.

Example of how the program works:

For an event registration fee of $100, IONS would underwrite $40, the Event Scholarship Fund would contribute $50 and the student would pay only $10.

• IONS Board and Donor Experiential Weekends
• IONS Signature Education Programs
• IONS Conferences and Symposiums
