Conscious Aging Telecourse

From January 18 - March 7, 2012, IONS is offering a new interactive, participatory course on Conscious Aging. This 8-week course is facilitated by Kathleen Erickson-Freeman, IONS Elder Education and Planned Giving Program Manager, and features leading experts in consciousness and aging.

Becoming an elder is less about chronological aging and more about transformation and growth in wisdom, love and compassion for oneself and others. The third age of life (after 50 years) is not merely a continuation of midlife adulthood. We will learn the latest research and best practices related to conscious aging from visionaries, reflect and share on our own journey and learn from each other in small and large group dialogues.

The course will meet each Wednesday evening by telephone from 5-7pm, with continued study materials and interaction online. Recordings of the weekly sessions will be available to those enrolled in the course. Registration will be open by end of day December 1st.
