| THE SHIFT BEGINS — Thursday night opens with celebration and substance. MCs Lynne Twist, author of Soul of Money, and film producer Belvie Rooks will introduce participants to the conference while Emmy award-winning musician Gary Malkin weaves music, poetry, and song into the program. Bioneers co-founders Kenny Ausubel and Nina Simons will then explore the promise of ecological medicine in connection with relational intelligence to shift our relationship with the Earth. They will be followed by Susan Davis, the founder of several major philanthropic networks, who will showcase how we can harness the power of social networks for change. | PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION — Friday morning starts as every day does — with your choice of early-morning yoga, Cherokee-inspired movement, or meditation. You will then journey into the heart of personal transformation. The presentations start with a conference plenary by Joan Borysenko speaking on love and intimacy from a medical perspective, followed by Don Beck on the spiral dynamics of change, Robert Gass on inner connection and outer change, and Marilyn Schlitz on the science behind cultural transformation. Participants will then choose from four dynamic speakers — cellular biologist Bruce Lipton, breakthrough personal coach Dave Ellis, mind-body medicine pioneer Elliott Dacher, and psi researcher Dean Radin. In the afternoon, the choices expand, with ten concurrent workshops on subjects ranging from a media panel to the art and science of personal transformation.
After a global community dinner, Friday evening will embody the heart of the conference, with science, spirituality, and social change coming together in provocative and insightful ways. Fred Alan Wolf, a physicist showcased in the movie What the Bleep Do We Know?, will dialogue with best-selling spiritual author Marianne Williamson, as well as Van Jones, a national leader of social justice work chosen as a global leader of tomorrow by the World Economic Forum. The dialogue will be moderated by James O'Dea, IONS President and the former director of Amnesty International, DC, and will demonstrate how frontier science, new paradigms of spirituality, and models of social change can support each other.

The morning continues with ten concurrent workshops featuring eminent leaders like Marc Ian Barasch, former editor of Psychology Today and author of the award-winning book Healing Dreams, who will discuss compassion as a wave of change.
After a dynamic Activate the Shift luncheon (FREE) that focuses on how we can work together to create change, Saturday afternoon journeys deeper, with ten concurrent workshops on subjects ranging from new breakthroughs in physics with Nassim Haramein, to wisdom from America’s founding fathers with Justine Toms and Michael Toms of New Dimensions Radio. The conference then reassembles for a plenary session with eminent psychologist Jean Shinoda Bolen on feminine archetypes for collective healing, and Commonway founder Sharif Abdullah on ending terrorism.
On Saturday evening, the full conference assembles again to hear from Satish Kumar, a global leader of nonviolent social change; Ocean Robbins, whose environmental programs have reached more than half a million youth; and Luisah Teish, an author and Yoruba priestess. They will address how we can activate social transformation in a deeper way. Then it will be time for CELEBRATION, with a spectacular evening of revelry, dance, music, and entertainment, led by Emmy award-winner Gary Malkin and African drummer and storyteller Masankho Banda. |

| GLOBAL TRANSFORMATION — Sunday morning will explore global shifts, beginning with an international roster of workshop leaders and leading into a conference finale featuring Deepak Chopra and astronaut Edgar Mitchell, who will share insights about consciousness and sustainability that emerged after his epiphanies in space. Participants will receive a series of powerful messages of hope and inspiration and the main conference will conclude with a community ritual paying tribute to the Earth as a whole.
Immediately following the main conference on Sunday, you will have an opportunity to participate in a horizon-expanding workshop with Deepak Chopra. Equal parts Western scientist and Indian sage, Dr. Chopra is able to marry spiritual realizations with leading-edge science and translate them into practical strategies for living a more creative and conscious life. Dr. Chopra’s post-conference workshop promises to help you translate the core learnings of the conference into daily practice.
