On December 24th, 1968, apollo 8 astronauts took a photograph that would change collective human consciousness forever... they called it "Earthrise."

As Joseph Campbell said during the Power of Myth interviews: "The only myth that is going to be worth thinking about in the immediate future is one that is talking about the planet... and everybody on it."

Join us as JFK University faculty member Craig Chalquist, author of Terrapsychology, unpacks the implications of this image to support Campbell's idea, which has since branched into ecology, environmentalism, Earth Day, ecopsychoogy, ecotherapy, permaculture, and many other expressions of Earth's active psychic presence rising into collective consciousness.

Craig's focus is on Deep Education... to explore the motifs, images, collective fantasies, and other structural forces moving in the personal and cultural unconscious. These forces shape institutions, works of culture, and technologies alike and constitute the true foundations of our time.

Craig Chalquist, PhD, is a core faculty member in East-West Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies as well as an adjunct professor at John F.
