Dorian Bartley performs her interpretation of vintage jazz and blues using upright bass and voice supported by the nuanced piano and trumpet of Bob Johns. They are joined by a variety of instruments as suits the occasion - including percussion and sax. She enjoys an expressive and sometimes ironic approach to 'the jazz standard' and plays with different vocal tones and textures in the tradition of cabaret. She studied classical choral music through high school, performed in an old-time string band, and received the prestigious National Merit Scholarship. She pursued her studies at the University of Michigan and the University of California at Berkeley and taught vocal music for many years in Petaluma's public schools. Dorian has worked with The Artifacts, a Sonoma County trio and currently performs with Foxes in the Henhouse and The Gravenstein Mandolin Ensemble.  She has performed at clubs, private parties, festivals and special events all over the San Francisco Bay Area.

John Wubbenhorst is a unique flutist/musician at home with both Eastern and Western traditions. Having grown up playing Western classical music and Jazz, he also is a master of Indian classical music on the bansuri with 2 degrees in World Music from the Rotterdam Conservatorium and has recorded 10 CDs with his group "Facing East" as well as having performed with many greats both East and West. John also is a music director for an spiritual ashram in Fiji and regularly tours throughout the USA and the World. He is also head of the nonprofit "Bright World Arts."
