I have just joined IONS and I'm keen to find out what books are recommended by you all? As a starting point to Noetic Science generally. Appreciate any feedback. LD
You should begin with the practice, whether it be meditation, holotrepein breath, various types of deprivation, the practice of lucid dreaming, or reception of various psychedelics. Introduce yourself in an altered state of consciousness.
Any literature is superfluous description of experience, a description of the sea once to replace the Sea. Literature does not give knowledge, it Daher chistichnuyu information about the experience.
But without a description, we can not, we're used all over the Euclidean name, and all organized, so that without books, and presented their information, too, can not do.
(Sorry for my bad English)

I'm surprised that no one suggested either of Dean Radin's books (The Conscious Universe; Entangled Minds) or Charlie Tart's book (The End of Materialism).
These three books really present the scientific evidence for psi (or noetic experiences). :-)
With Love and Gratitude,
Jeremiah
Hi, I'm from Peru. I really like to know more about Noetic Sciences but I want to know if you have any spanish book. My English is not very good and I would like to read all about this in Spanish, is that possible please?
Best regards

ALSO, : THE FIELD

A new book that is a great survey of some of our favorite discussion items in noetic science is Jeffrey A. Marks' "Your Magical Soul: How Science and Psychic Phenomena Paint a New Picture of the Self and Reality."
This is a groundbreaking book that unlocks the deeper secrets behind what we are, and are capable of, when tapping into our Soul’s abilities. Find out how you organize individual and global reality, or how your Soul functions within the context of Time. Casting aside ancient belief systems, Your Magical Soul is an intellectual romp by a left-brained skeptical medium and paranormal researcher who takes a tour through his right-brained psychic experiences in combination with an examination of the findings of scientists in the fields of quantum physics and consciousness research to create a new understanding of a very old topic: the Soul.
The author has an introductory video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxdXoOqUN0Y
And the book can be found on Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble.com, and at the publisher AragoPress.com.
We receive so much by words and books, so it's essential to read and think about the role words and meaning play in this process; how words lead, misleads or truly helps us. SO:
"Insights for the Age of Aquarius, A Scientific Analysis of the Problems of Religion," by Gina Cerminara
This is important book, a very practical book with a grandiose sounding title. It's about he semantics of thinking and communicating, and the role of language in this.

Hello.... I just joined IONS also but have been reading for years and found looking up authors who are writing about these topics lead me to further works that helped... some suggested authors: Ervin Laszlo, Fred Alan Fox, Richard Bartlett, David Hawkins, Michael Talbot (Holographic Universe),.. and Richard Moss to name just a few... blessings on your journey
Hi there! Great books I've read include The Self Aware Universe by Amit Goswami, a brilliantly readable book by a scientist written for non-scientists which you can gorge on cover to cover; The Field by Lynne McTaggart which tells fascinating stories of discoveries made by eminent scientists in zero-point field research; and Seven Steps of Spiritual Intelligence by Richard Bowell which is funny and informative and moving all at the same time. There are lots out there, and you can do worse than sign up to Cygnus Books which offers a collection of noetically oriented books in a regular (very readable) catalogue magazine and is not expensive to join. Hope this helps as a starter... may the thoughts be with you!
