Biography
William B. Stewart, MD is the Medical Director of the Institute for Health & Healing (IHH) at California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), San Francisco. He is a member of the Senior Management Team at CPMC. Dr. Stewart has served as a trustee for the California Pacific Medical Center Foundation and is past chair of the Department of Ophthalmology at CPMC. His medical work and worldview have been informed by 40+ years of marriage, 2 children and 3 grandchildren, 25 years of volunteer medical work in India, 30 years of surgical practice, and the founding and leadership of one of the largest and most successful integrative medicine centers at a major medical center in the U.S., The Institute for Health & Healing. He is the author of Deep Medicine: Harnessing the Source of Your Healing Power, part of the Noetic books series of the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS).
