Biography
Connie King manages the marketing process for EarthRise, gathering information about events and giving voice to them via print and online press, advertising, and coordination of social media. She creates, writes, designs, and does personal outreach to get the word out about the wonderful things taking place at EarthRise and is delighted to be part of the team making them happen.
Her background includes twelve years on staff at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, followed by eight years of consulting with them and other Bay Area museums and businesses in her own design and marketing company. She has a Liberal Arts degree from San Jose State University, with studies in the Tutorials in Letters and Science program and New College, curriculums that focused on the classics and community involvement (as a VISTA Volunteer in Eastern Kentucky). After graduation, she joined an organization in San Francisco using the arts to work with at-risk youth. She has been involved in cross-cultural healing practices since the late '70's, studying indigenous cultures, Chinese medicine, meditation, Goddess cultures, and holistic health—and has had the good fortune to study with leaders in these fields.
