Biography

CAROLYN ZAHN-WAXLER is a developmental psychologist who studies the development of empathy, antisocial behavior, and depression. She is a senior research scientist in the Departments of Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she conducts research on the development of compassionate love in young children.
