Rachel Naomi Remen, MD, a pioneer of holistic medicine, is a clinician, medical educator, bestselling author, and master storyteller. She is clinical professor of Family and Community Medicine at UCSF School of Medicine and co-founder of the Commonweal Cancer Help Program. Her course, “The Healer’s Art,” is now taught in 70 medical schools nationwide, and her bestselling books, Kitchen Table Wisdom and My Grandfather’s Blessings, have been published in 18 languages and won numerous awards.
