 Dear Friends.
Our beloved former president, Wink Franklin, passed away on the evening of August 27. He had been struggling with cancer for some
months. He died in the presence of his wife, Laura; his daughter, Beth; and his son, Matt.
We sorely miss him, and yet know that his spirit will guide us. Wink gave so much of his life to IONS, often working tirelessly behind
the scenes to ensure our survival when times were really rough. His vision was a key force in the development of our membership, as
well as our move to this truly sacred land near Petaluma.
Those who knew him well attest to how much he poured his life into a vision of human evolution and the manifestation of higher consciousness.
He believed deeply in the practical value of extending our understanding of human capacities, and of exploring the powers of consciousness.
He also believed that we can harness the powers of love and wisdom, out of which a truly globally conscious and compassionate civilization
will arise.
Thank you Wink for your wonderful service.
Shantih, shantih, shantih,
James O'Dea
